HEALTH
What is the definition of health in the 21st century, and more especially since late 2019 to date, when the entire world is experiencing a Pandemic caused by a corona virus and some of its variants.
Every aspect of life has been affected. For example, take this programme which covers Education, Careers, Financial, Service, Family, Spiritual, and Health, every aspect has been affected which has resulted in a major change in the way we live our daily lives. The New Norms that have been created by the various governments in the world to deal with the public at large have instituted a new Code of Conduct by forcing a social distancing, the wearing of masks to prevent aerial invasion of the virus, lockdowns, and severe restrictions on movement, ranging from individuals, to families, to groups, and indeed to nations.
Most people alive today have never been exposed to such draconian measures and will not have experienced the Spanish ‘Flu or the plagues that previously hit the world.
Viruses exist all around us, in our bodies, in the ground, in the air, in the water, and as humanity developed, the human body developed a natural immunity to most of these common viruses and has enabled us to live the life that we do in the modern era. The enormous contribution to healthcare by the advent of advanced medicine, knowledge, and capability, have enabled us to cope with many common viruses which recur, such as the common cold and ‘flu, which are not bacterial in nature.
Being healthy in the physical sense today, to a great extent is based on lifestyle and the way in which you have adapted to the changes. Of course there are many factors beyond your control but by exercising ultra-caution you should be able to achieve a high degree of immunity from infection by avoiding and evading the logical hotspots.
We live in the digital age, thank goodness, where we can to some extent continue our lives by communicating with one another through the available media channels. If time is used wisely, some productivity can still be achieved.
So looking after your physical body by exercising regularly, eating a balanced nutritional diet, and practicing good hygiene, life can be good.
On the mental front, the Pandemic has taught us many lessons. “No man is an island”….by and large humans are social animals and need mental and physical interaction with each other. This aspect of life has been severely affected as we find ourselves in isolation and prevented from many activities of socialisation. The survival of the fittest, in the mental sense, are those individuals who have used the isolation experience to improve their minds, stimulate inventive ways, and challenges to keep a positive mental attitude going.
As a Whole Person the way in which YOU integrate human activity and spiritual activity will determine the outcome of how we all emerge over the coming years.
By living a healthy physical and mental life, you will create a new lifestyle in which you can thrive and lead a meaningful life.
Following are some personal presentations in which you will find some deep messages. ENJOY!
